South Dakota Statutes
§ 46A-3A-14 — Separate districts for election--Approval by only some districts--Petition to withdraw--Election.
The Board of Water and Natural Resources shall, by resolution, establish a water development district consisting of those election districts in which the requisite vote of approval was cast. Any election district included in the establishment of a water development district, in accordance with this section, may withdraw from the water development district by filing a petition with the board. The petition requesting withdrawal must:
(1)Be signed by fifteen percent of the voters residing in the election district;
(2)Contain the same information with respect to the signers as required for a petition to establish a water development district;
(3)Be verified in the same manner as required for a petition to establish a water development district; and (4) Be filed with the board on
