Text

No dog may be used in hunting big game animals except as follows:

(1)A dog may be used in the hunting of mountain lions during established hunting seasons in the manner and under such conditions as provided by rules promulgated by the Game, Fish and Parks Commission pursuant to chapter 1-26 ; and (2) A dog that is leashed and under the control of a handler may be used to track and retrieve any big game animal that is wounded or presumed dead, if the handler complies with the conditions and restrictions prescribed in this chapter and the rules promulgated pursuant to this chapter. A violation of this section is subject to § 41-8-18 .
