Text

It is the policy of this state that the federal government should not acquire land by condemnation for wildlife mitigation, except for land owned by direct beneficiaries of the project of which the wildlife mitigation is a part. The Legislature, state agencies, and the Governor may not support funding or enter into any contractual agreement for construction with the federal government for any project that does not meet the provisions of this section. This section does not apply to any mitigation acquisition resulting from construction of the Missouri River reservoirs.
