It is a Class 2 misdemeanor for any person to practice occupational therapy or represent himself as an occupational therapist or use in connection with his name the words or letters "OTR"; "OTR/L"; "Occupational Therapist, Registered"; "Occupational Therapist, Registered/Licensed"; "Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant"; "COTA"; "COTA/L"; "Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant/Licensed"; or any other letters, words or insignia indicating or implying that he is an occupational therapist or occupational therapy assistant, or as being able to practice occupational therapy, or to render occupational therapy services in this state unless he is licensed under the provisions of this chapter.
