Text

Since the profession of social work profoundly affects the lives of the people of this state, it is the purpose of this chapter to protect the public by setting standards of qualification, education, training, and experience for each person engaging in the practice of social work and to promote high standards of professional performance for any person engaged in the profession of social work. However, the provisions of this chapter do not apply to any employee of state government who is covered by the provisions of chapter 3-6D .
