Text

The State Electrical Commission shall perform all functions exercised by the former State Electrical Board. The State Electrical Commission consists of seven members to be appointed by the Governor for a term of three years. No member may serve more than three consecutive full terms. However, appointment to fill an unexpired term is not considered a complete term for this purpose. Not all of the members shall be of the same political party. The Governor may stagger the terms to enable the commission to have different terms expire each year. Any member appointed to the commission prior to July 1, 2005, shall serve the four-year term to which the member was originally appointed.
