§ 36-15-4 — Qualifications of professional commission members--School affiliation prohibited.

South Dakota·Title 36 PROFESSIONS AND OCCUPATIONS·Ch. 36-13 COSMETOLOGISTS, ESTHETICIANS, NAIL TECHNICIANS, AND SALONS

Each professional member of the commission shall be:

(1)A resident of this state;
(2)At least twenty - five years of age;
(3)Actively engaged in the practice of cosmetology for the three years immediately preceding the appointment; and (4) Currently licensed as a cosmetologist in this state at the time of the appointment and while serving on the commission. No member of the commission may be a member of or affiliated with or have an interest in any school while in office.
