Text
An applicant for a civil service position may not:
(1)Directly or indirectly give, render, or pay, or promise to give, render, or pay any money, service, or other thing to any person, for or on account of, or in connection with an examination, appointment, or proposed appointment; or (2) Submit, with the intent to deceive, any false application, credential, test, or examination to a hiring authority for the purpose of obtaining any appointment or proposed appointment or promotion. A violation of this section is a Class 1 misdemeanor.
