Text
Effective as of July 1, 2020, a participant is eligible to participate in the qualified benefit preservation arrangement for any calendar year, or portion of the calendar year, during which the participant is entitled to receive a benefit payment from the system, but the benefit is required to be reduced due to the application of the maximum benefit provisions of section 415(b) of the Internal Revenue Code. In that case, the participant may be eligible for a benefit as determined in § 3-12C-1805. The system shall determine which participants are eligible to participate in the qualified benefit preservation arrangement.
