Text

A guardian, conservator or like fiduciary appointed in another state may be appointed as a guardian or conservator in this state upon presentation of a petition therefor, proof of appointment, and a certified copy of such portion of the court record in the other state as the court in this state may specify. Notice of hearing on any such petition, together with a copy of the petition, shall be mailed at least fourteen days prior to the hearing to the minor, if age ten or older, to the protected person, and to the individuals and entities that would be entitled to notice if the regular procedures for appointment of a guardian or conservator were applicable.
