The South Dakota Code Commission shall consist of one member of the South Dakota Senate appointed by the president pro tempore, one member of the South Dakota House of Representatives appointed by the speaker of the house, and two members of the State Bar of South Dakota to be appointed by the state bar president and one member appointed by the Executive Board of the Legislative Research Council. The legislators shall be appointed for two - year terms. The two members of the state bar shall be appointed for four - year terms. The member appointed by the Executive Board of the Legislative Research Council shall serve a two - year term.
