The Code Commission may publish and sell, or contract with the publisher of the printed code, or others, exclusively or not exclusively, for the publication and sale of, with or without compensation, the South Dakota Codified Laws on media which can be read by data processing equipment, including magnetic tapes and disks and CD-ROM discs. Any publication made by the Code Commission authorized by this section shall be distributed by the Bureau of Human Resources and Administration at prices set by the Code Commission, which shall include mailing costs. The commission may also authorize, and set the price for, private searches on the commission's statute and administrative rules data bases on the state's mainframe computer.
