The Board of Regents shall promulgate rules, in accordance with chapter 1-26 , to provide for governance of the South Dakota School for the Blind and the Visually Impaired. The board shall employ a superintendent and instructors and staff who have knowledge concerning the educational needs of students with sensory disabilities. The board may hire one person to serve as both the superintendent of the South Dakota School for the Blind and the Visually Impaired and as the administrator of South Dakota Services for the Deaf. The person shall receive a single salary.
