Text
All school district reorganization shall take effect and the new school district shall become operative on the first day of July following the date of the order by the secretary of the Department of Education, except that when such order is issued after the first day of March the new school district shall not become operative until the first day of July of the next subsequent calendar year. The voters of any area to be included within a district as the result of any action taken under this chapter shall be privileged to participate in regular and special elections of said district which occur between the date of such order and such operative date.
