Text
The Governor shall appoint three commissioners to represent the State of South Dakota on the Western Interstate Commission for Higher Education, including at least one commissioner who is an educator engaged in the field of higher education in the state. The commissioners shall each serve a term of four years, except that the first three commissioners shall serve as follows: one for two years, one for three years, and one for four years. The Governor may remove any appointed commissioner for cause, after a hearing prior to the expiration of the commissioner's term.
