Text

The secretary may issue a one-year career and technical education (CTE) instructor educator permit to an applicant who submits documentation showing that the applicant holds a minimum of a high school diploma or its equivalent and:

(1)An associate of applied science degree or higher; or (2) At least two thousand hours of work experience in a related CTE field; or (3) A national or state certification in a related CTE field. An individual who holds an active one-year CTE instructor educator permit is considered certified pursuant to this chapter. The applicant must submit documentation from a public or department-accredited school showing that the school is unable to hire a certified educator to fill the vacancy and listing the position to be held by the applicant and the name of
