§ 10-25-26 — Removal of cloud on title by transfer, assignment, or satisfaction--Maximum consideration.

The board of county commissioners may procure from any person who has any interest in the real property, real or apparent, a transfer, assignment, or satisfaction of the interest for the purpose of removing any cloud from the title of the real property. The authority granted in this section may be exercised either in lieu of an action to quiet title or in connection with an action. However, the consideration for the transfer, assignment, or satisfaction may not exceed twenty-five dollars in connection with any parcel of real property, the title to which is sought to be quieted or cloud to the title removed.
