Any data or financial information made or received by the commissioner of the Governor's Office of Economic Development pursuant to §§ 1-53-38 to 1-53-47 , inclusive, is not public record and is exempt from the provisions of § 1-27-1 . However, the commissioner may provide information gathered pursuant to §§ 1-53-38 to 1-53-47 , inclusive, to any government agency if the information is needed for a government sponsored animal identification tracking program or for any public health or safety reason.
