§ 40-57-60 — Powers and duties of commission.
South Carolina·Title 40 PROFESSIONS AND OCCUPATIONS·Ch. 57 REAL ESTATE BROKERS, BROKERS-IN-CHARGE, ASSOCIATES, AND PROPERTY MANAGERS
(A)The commission shall administer and enforce this chapter and regulations promulgated under this chapter. In addition to powers contained in Section 40-1-70, the powers and duties include, but are not limited to:
(1)determining the standards for the qualifications and eligibility of applicants for licensure, the qualifications of education providers and instructors, and the conditions for initial license issuance and license renewal;
(2)conducting disciplinary hearings on alleged violations of this chapter and regulations promulgated under this chapter and deciding disciplinary actions as provided in this chapter for those found to be in violation;
(3)recommending changes in legislation and promulgating regulations governing the real estate industry relative to the protection, safety
