(a)A limited partnership that owns real property in South Carolina shall, prior to selling, conveying, or transferring any interest in the property, file an affidavit containing the name of the partnership, the place or places where the partnership's certificate of limited partnership is filed, and the name or names of the general partners who are authorized to sign documents relating to the property on behalf of the partnership in the office of the county where the index to deeds for the property is located. The affidavit required by this section must be recorded and indexed in the name of the partnership in both the grantor and grantee indices for deeds. The person or persons executing the affidavit as an agent or fiduciary of the partnership need not exhibit evidence of that authority
