(A)There is created the Board of Massage Therapy under the administration of the department. The board shall be composed of seven members appointed by the Governor, upon the advice and consent of the Senate. Six members must be licensed massage therapists in good standing and must have been engaged in the practice of massage therapy for no fewer than three consecutive years before appointment to the board. One member must represent the public at large and must not have a financial interest, direct or indirect, in the profession or practice of massage therapy. A board member must be a high school graduate or shall have received a graduate equivalency diploma and must be a citizen of the United States and a resident of this State for no fewer than five years.
