§ 58-17-3440 — Notice of accidents.
Every railroad corporation must cause immediate notice of each accident, in cases of an accident occurring on its road attended with injury to any person as the Public Service Commission may, by rules and regulations adopted by it, require, to be given to a physician most accessible to the place of accident, the Office of Regulatory Staff, and the commission by telegraph, telephone, or such other means as may be the quickest under the circumstances at the same time that notice is given officials of the road on which the accident occurred. A railroad corporation shall also give notice in like manner of any accident falling within any description of accidents of which the commission may by general regulation require notice to be given.
