Text
A person engaged in the act of trapping must be the owner of the property on which the traps or devices are set or has written permission from the landowner or his agent in possession to use the property for trapping.

HISTORY: [Derived from former SECTION 50-11-4340 (1985 Act No. 148, SECTION 1)]; 1988 Act No. 561, SECTION 1; 1993 Act No. 181, SECTION 1262; 2012 Act No. 257, SECTION 5, eff June 18, 2012. Effect of Amendment The 2012 amendment substituted "must be" for "shall have proof that he is"; substituted "have" for "carry on his person"; and, inserted "from the landowner or his agent in possession".
