§ 5-56-8. Penalties.
The penalties for noncompliance with any section of this chapter are as stated in
            § 42-17.1-2 as follows: any person who knowingly and willfully violates any rule or regulation
            adopted pursuant to authority granted to the director, upon conviction, shall be punished
            by a fine of not more than five hundred dollars ($500), or by imprisonment for not
            more than thirty (30) days, or both, for each offense or violation, and each day's
            failure to comply with any rule or regulation shall constitute a separate offense.
