§ 5-51-12. Persons exempt from licensure.
Employees of the United States doing work in Rhode Island for the United States government,
            and state, city, town, or regional planners shall be exempt from the license and registration
            provisions of this chapter. Nothing contained in this chapter shall be construed to
            prohibit or restrict the practice of professional planning by private consultants
            or employees of public agencies, nor the practice of architects, professional engineers,
            land surveyors, landscape gardeners, or nursery workers in the performance of their
            business or profession as distinct from the profession of landscape architecture.
