§ 5-44-2. Licensing of psychologist.

(a) In order to protect and safeguard the health and welfare of the people, it is unlawful for any person to represent himself or herself as a psychologist or to use any description of services including the terms "psychologyâ€� and "psychological,â€� or any title, abbreviation, sign, card, or device to indicate that person is a psychologist unless that person has been licensed pursuant to the provisions of this chapter or unless that person falls within an exception provided by § 5-44-23.
