§ 5-38.3-7. Severability.
If any part or provision of this chapter or the application of this chapter to any
            person or circumstances is adjudged invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction,
            this judgment is confined in its operation to the part, provision, or application
            directly involved in the controversy in which this judgment had been rendered and
            shall not affect or impair the validity of the remainder of this chapter or the application
            of this chapter to other persons or circumstances.
