An employer, agency, or institution shall not take any adverse action, including but not limited to, restricting or terminating any healthcare provider's employment or ability to practice as a result of an adverse action against the healthcare provider's license or other disciplinary action by another state or institution that resulted from the healthcare provider's engagement in legally protected healthcare activity, as defined in § 23-101-2, or aiding and assisting with legally protected healthcare activity, as defined in § 23-101-2, if the adverse action wa
