§ 5-22-24. Continuation of powers of boards and bureaus of police commissioners.
Whenever by law the powers, conferred pursuant to this chapter upon city or town councils,
            have been conferred upon boards or bureaus of police commissioners in any city or
            town, those powers shall continue to be exercised by those boards or bureaus of police
            commissioners.
