§ 5-17-1. Reports of removals to town or city clerk.

It is made a duty of all persons, firms, or corporations, owning or operating any moving van, furniture van, transfer wagon, express wagon, delivery wagon, commercial automobile, or other vehicle, who hauls or moves, or causes to be hauled or moved, household goods, chattels, or personal effects of any resident of the state changing the place of his or her residence, to make a report of the removal to the town or city clerk of the town or city in which those household goods, chattels, or personal effects are located, and if the removal is from one city or town to another, the report sh
