§ 44-9-4. Collector of taxes — Powers, privileges, duties and liabilities of fire district,
               water district, sewer district, road district and lighting district.
The collector of taxes of every fire district, water district, sewer district, road
            district and lighting district shall have all the powers and privileges and be subject
            to all the duties and liabilities which are conferred or imposed upon collectors of
            taxes in cities or towns.
