§ 44-70-12. Seizure and destruction.
Any cannabis or cannabis products found in violation of this chapter shall be declared
            to be contraband goods and may be seized by the tax administrator, his or her agents,
            or employees, or by any deputy sheriff, or police officer when directed by the tax
            administrator to do so, without a warrant. For the purposes of seizing and destroying
            contraband cannabis, employees of the commission or cannabis office may act as agents
            of the tax administrator. The seizure and/or destruction of any cannabis or cannabis
            products under the provisions of this section does not relieve any person from a fine

For the purposes of seizing and destroying contraband cannabis, employees of the commission or cannabis office may act as agents of the tax administrator. The seizure and/or destruction of any cannabis or cannabis products under the provisions of this section does not relieve any person from a fine or other penalty for violation of this chapter. The commission, in conjunction with the tax administrator and the department of public safety, may promulgate rules and regulations for the destruction of contraband goods pursuant to this section.
