§ 42-7.2-16.1. Reinventing Medicaid Act of 2015.

(a) The Rhode Island Medicaid program is an integral component of the state's healthcare system that provides crucial services and supports to many Rhode Islanders. As the program's reach has expanded, the costs of the program have continued to rise and the delivery of care has become more fragmented and uncoordinated. Given the crucial role of the Medicaid program to the state, it is of compelling importance that the state conduct a fundamental restructuring of its Medicaid program that achieves measurable improvement in health outcomes for the people and transforms the healthcare system
