§ 42-7-1. Establishment — Powers of governor.
There shall be an executive department. The head of the executive department shall
            be the governor. The governor shall have all powers and duties provided by R.I. Const., Art. IX, and by chapter 1 of title 43, and as further prescribed in all general laws and public laws relating to powers
            and duties of the governor.
