§ 42-66.4-3. Patient assessment.

(a) The services defined and delineated in § 42-66.4-2 shall be provided only to those patients who are medically eligible and who are in a skilled nursing and/or intermediate care facility. Patients recently admitted shall be assessed as soon as possible. Provisions of long-term home healthcare services paid for by government funds shall be based upon a comprehensive assessment that shall include, but not be limited to, an evaluation of the medical, social, and environmental needs of each applicant for these services or programs.
