§ 42-56-8. Departmental seal.
The department shall have a seal which shall have engraved upon it the words "Department
            of Corrections, State of Rhode Island,â€� and the seal shall be affixed to all written
            contracts which the department is authorized and directed to make under the provisions
            of this chapter, and the contracts shall be signed by the director of the department.
            The seal shall also be affixed to those other orders and papers issued by the department
            that the department may by rule or order direct.
