§ 42-29-14. Copies of bonds as evidence.
The general treasurer shall deliver an attested copy of the bond of any deputy sheriff
            to the director of the department of public safety and deliver a copy of the bond
            of any deputy sheriff, filed in his or her office, to any person applying and paying
            the sum of one dollar ($1.00) for the same, and the copy shall be received as evidence
            in any case, but if the execution of the bond shall be disputed, the court may order
            the original to be brought into court by a proper subpoena for that purpose, to be
            served on the general treasurer or deputy sheriff.
