§ 42-28.1-6. Payments.

(a) Each of the chiefs of the various agencies shall supply to the chief of training, division of personnel, on or before the first day of September of each year, a list of all members of their respective agencies who have received incentive credits. The chief shall certify the amount of incentive pay for each city and town, and the state controller is hereby authorized and directed to draw his or her orders on the general treasurer for payment to the chief of the sums to be certified to be distributed by him or her to the several city and town treasurers for payment to the eligible police officers; provided
