§ 42-28.1-2. Eligibility for plan.
Any full-time member of any state, city, town police force, the sheriffs unit, the
            Rhode Island marshals' unit, the Rhode Island capitol police force, park police and
            conservation officer units of the division of enforcement of the department of environmental
            management, and the state fire marshal and deputy state fire marshals of the Rhode
            Island division of fire safety shall be eligible for the plan established in this
            chapter provided he or she accumulates the requisite number of points under the schedule
            set forth in § 42-28.1-3.
