§ 42-28-8. Clerk of division.
The superintendent may employ a clerk who shall be a competent stenographer, and the
            general assembly shall annually appropriate such sum as it may deem necessary for
            the payment of the salary of the clerk. The clerk shall be numbered among the personnel
            of the division within the meaning of §§ 42-28-21 and 42-28-22. Any clerk hired on or after July 1, 2012, shall be considered a civilian employee
            in accordance with the provisions of § 42-28-22(g).
