§ 42-28-25.1. Trainee compensation for death, disability, or injury.

(a) All trainees of the state police training academy shall be compensated for death, disability, or injury incurred while in training under the provisions of this chapter as follows:

(1) All medical expenses incurred as a result of such injury shall be paid by the state; and

(2) Death and disability payments shall be paid in accordance with § 42-28-21 and § 45-19-1 relating to compensation for injuries causing disability or causing death to full-time members of the state police in the course of perfor
