§ 42-21-1. Transferred functions performed by department head — Rights of appeal.

Except as otherwise provided in this title, the head of a department or any other agency assuming any duties formerly imposed upon any other department or agency, and transferred by chapter 660 of the Public Laws of 1939, shall perform the duties of such department or agency, notwithstanding that the department or agency formerly performing those duties was a board, commission, or single officer. Any ruling, decision, or order made by the department or agency head with regard to matters within his or her jurisdiction shall be subject to any existing right of appeal to
