§ 42-17.6-2. Authority of director to assess penalty.
The director may assess an administrative penalty on a person who fails to comply
            with any provision of any rule, regulation, order, permit, license, or approval issued
            or adopted by the director, or of any law that the director has the authority or responsibility
            to enforce. Any such penalty shall be an alternative to any other civil penalty that
            may be prescribed by law.
