§ 42-17.1-5. Deputy director — Assistant directors and heads of divisions.
There shall be a deputy director for environmental quality in the unclassified service
            and appointed by the governor, and an assistant director for operations, an assistant
            director for regulation, an assistant director for legal services, and an assistant
            director for administration, all of whom shall be in the classified service; and a
            head of each of the divisions of the department, all of whom shall be in the classified
            service.
