§ 42-14-1. Establishment — Head of department.
There shall be a department of business regulation. The head of the department shall
            be the director of business regulation who, except as otherwise provided by this title,
            shall carry out this chapter and perform the duties required by any and all other
            provisions of the general laws and public laws insofar as those provisions relate
            to each of the divisions and licensing and regulatory areas within the jurisdiction
            of the department.
