§ 42-12-3. Parole and probation.
The department of human services and director of human services shall perform the
            functions relating to parole and probation as prescribed by chapter 18 of title 12, and under such rules and regulations as may be adopted by the director of social
            and rehabilitative services with the approval of the governor and the parole board
            in the executive department.
