§ 42-102-3. Officers.

(a) The position of chairperson shall be unpaid and the individual who is appointed chairperson shall serve a three-year (3) term. The governor may reappoint the individual appointed chairperson to serve another three-year (3) term.

(b) The secretary of commerce shall be vice-chair and is authorized to preside over meetings in the absence of the chairperson.

(c) Executive director. The workforce board, in consultation with the governor, shall appoint an executive director who shall serve at the pleasure of the workforce board, provided that the
