§ 40.1-2-6. Records and reports as to institution residents.

The department of behavioral healthcare, developmental disabilities and hospitals shall keep a record showing the name, residence, sex, age, nativity, occupation, condition, and date of entrance or commitment of every patient or client in the several institutions under the control of the department; the date, cause, and terms of discharge, and the condition of those persons at the time of leaving; all transfers from one institution to another; and if any patient or client dies, the date and cause of death.
