§ 39-8-17. Bail to certain railroad employees.

Whenever a person employed as an engineer, fireperson, conductor, brake person, flagperson, or other crew member, is arrested in any city or town on a criminal charge arising from an accident in connection with the operation of a train, resulting in an injury or death to a person or injury to property, and if as a result of the accident the engineer, fireperson, conductor, brake person, flagperson, or other crew member is required to submit to a hearing before any magistrate, judge, or clerk of court, wherein the engineer, fireperson, conductor, brake person, flagperson, or other crew member
