§ 37-6-21.1. Expediting proceedings.

In any proceedings for the assessment of damages for real property so taken by the state under the provisions of this chapter, at any time during the pendency of the action or proceeding, the state or owner may apply to the court for an order directing the owner or state, as the case may be, to show cause why the further proceeding should not be expedited. The court may upon application make an order requiring that the hearings proceed and that any other steps be taken with all possible expedition, and all the court actions shall have precedence on the calendar and shall continue to have precedence on
